Data source

Model specifications are rows from the public BEE Star Label registry, stored with source URL, sync timestamp, and per-page credit. We do not mix registry numbers with shop prices.

Sync frequency

Registry sync runs on a schedule. Stale rows may remain visible with an older sync date until the next successful run.

Running-cost estimates

• Geysers: standing loss (kWh/24h) scaled by hours powered per day, plus optional active heating kWh when a tool asks for bath water volume.
• Fans: rated watts × hours × tariff; BLDC payback compares user-entered wattages.
• Pumps: motor watts × hours when present; borewell head/HP outputs are editorial geometry, not BEE test results.

Tariffs

DISCOM slab tables ship only when verified with source metadata. Until then, tools require manual ₹/kWh and label it as an assumption.

Ranking

Shortlists sort by estimated energy cost or registry efficiency fields (e.g. standing loss, fan wattage). Commission does not affect order. Amazon links appear only with verified ASIN mapping or generic search links with sponsored rel attributes.
